The Off-Broadway Musical Theatre is a community theater based in New Hope, Minnesota (a suburb of Minneapolis). Formed in 1978 to continue a tradition of outdoor theater in New Hope, OBMT has presented a major musical, with full costumes, orchestra, sets and lighting each summer since 1978. Sponsored in part by the City of New Hope, we offer the community an opportunity to enjoy quality musical theater, as a spectator or a participant. We pride ourselves as an outlet for the talents of the community, using local actors, staff and tech people wherever possible. Our shows are still FREE (with a food shelf donation).
